QUALITY ASSURANCE What is security grading? Under the new European Standard EN50131-1/PD6662:2004 security systems are now graded with Grade being 1 offering the lowest level of protection and Grade 4 offering the highest. Grade 1 systems are not acceptable to British Insurers because the security level is less than the previous standard BS4737. Therefore a new level, Grade 2X has been created which meets the Grade 2 requirements but without the communications. Many other companies cut costs by installing Grade 2X control equipment whereas TES systems always meet Grade 2, so that your system will meet your requirements not only now but in the future too.

What is the SSAIB? This is an independent accreditation body providing inspection services for the security industry. Firms recognised by the SSAIB are inspected regularly to ensure they meet requirements in terms of installation standards and operating procedures. TES Services are an approved SSAIB installer and also have UKAS product certification for insurance company compliance.

MAINTENANCE What is annual maintenance? As Police compliant installers we are required to offer our customers maintenance services as described in EN50131:1 part 1 PD6662:2004. Customers subscribing to the annual maintenance scheme are entitled to 24 hr telephone support and engineer attendance.

As Police compliant installers we are required to offer our customers maintenance services as described in EN50131:1 part 1 PD6662:2004. Customers subscribing to the annual maintenance scheme are entitled to 24 hr telephone support and engineer attendance.


Maintenance checks are carried out annually for audible only systems and twice annually on monitored systems. Each maintenance visit consists of a full electrical and a physical operational check complete with communications where applicable. Systems that are maintained regularly run without problems therefore are less costly overall, after hours attendances to replace consumables that would normally be part of the annual service are eliminated.
