Alarm Systems

Total Peace of Mind

Whether you are looking for a traditional hardwired alarm system, or a contemporary wire free system, we offer you the answer to your security needs at a very competitive price.

Our conventional hardwired systems offer outstanding performance combined with value for money.  Or how about an up to the minute, wire free system which you can take with you when you move.

When choosing a security system, you need an alarm system which is not only reliable but easy to use and incorporates all the functions that are required to protect you and your home in an up to date manner.  A system from TES will be planned to suit your lifestyle and will be installed without disruption to your home and furnishings.

Quality & Reliability

Whether you choose a hardwired or wire free system it will incorporate only the highest quality equipment selected from manufacturers with a proven track record in reliability and technical innovation. All systems are carefully installed by our own staff (not subcontractors) and come with a 12 month parts & labour warranty.  Each system will comply with PD6662:2004 and an SSAIB Certificate of Conformity will be issued.

Features of a Typical Alarm System

A standard residential alarm system would typically include:

  • High quality control panel
  • External sounder
  • Movement detectors
  • Magnetic contacts on the entry door
  • 12 month comprehensive warranty
  • 24 hour engineer assistance

We can of course include additional options to tailor the system to suit your requirements.

Listed below are the most common options to enhance your security system.  Many of these options can be added at a later date giving you the flexibility to expand your system as your needs and budget dictate.

SECURITY OPTIONS

Monitored Systems - for a guaranteed response

One of the greatest improvements to security measures is to link your security system to an alarm receiving centre who will inform the police if the alarm is activated.

Whilst an audible alarm may scare off a burglar it will not guarantee a response from the police.  The latest guidelines from the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) indicates that the police will not attend an alarm activation from audible only systems unless there is evidence of a break-in.  However the police will attend an alarm signal routed via an alarm receiving centre.

To qualify for police response the alarm system must be regularly maintained in accordance with PD6662:2004.  Please see our Maintenance pages for further information.

Fire Detection

By adding a smoke detector to your alarm system you can protect your family against the threat of fire.  The smoke detector will operate even when the system is not armed.  If you have a monitored system the alarm receiving centre will also alert the Fire Brigade, even if you are away from home.

Home automation

The alarm control panels can also provide a range of home automation capabilities for 21st Century living.

The alarm system is able to control devices to automate your lighting, heating etc.  For example if you add home automation with smoke detectors, the alarm system could not only alert you to the presence of fire, but could also turn the lights on to assist your safe exit from the building.
